James began his career in New York, gaining expertise in finance and the environment within a market leading inter-dealer brokerage. Driven by a passion for sustainability, he specialized in environmental commodities in Amsterdam, focusing on the UK and European Green Energy markets.

In 2017, James co-founded Holborn Trading with Walid upon returning to London. As the Managing Director of the UK team, he guides individuals and businesses in meeting their specific UK Energy Certificate needs. James's commitment to a greener future is evident in his leadership role, contributing significantly to Holborn Trading's success in promoting environmentally responsible practices.

Walid is a seasoned professional in the world of environmental commodities trading. His journey started in Amsterdam, where he kicked off his career as an oil broker at an international brokerage firm.

Having quickly decided to specialize in environmental commodities, he became involved in CO2 emissions trading and renewable energy certificates.

Seeking new opportunities, he later made the move to London, where he continued to expand his expertise in trading various environmental products. In 2017, fueled by a passion for entrepreneurship and sustainability, he co-founded Holborn Trading, dedicated to driving positive change in the environmental trading landscape.

Joshua began his career in the automotive industry on the South Coast of England, excelling in sales, and operations. Transitioning strategically, he is now a senior broker specialising in renewable energy.

Joshua is currently leading International markets (I-RECs) and assisting directors James and Walid in managing UK markets (REGOs, ROCs, and RGGOs).

His dedication to sustainability and client well-being makes him an invaluable contributor. At Holborn Trading, Joshua actively contributes to team growth and welcomes discussions with aspiring individuals in the renewable energy sector.

Olly graduated from Lancaster University with a degree in Human Geography, where he developed his passion for sustainability and renewable energy. He began his career as an Insurance broker focusing on trade and credit risks, gaining crucial insight into the world of commodity trading.

Moving over to the renewable sector, he joined Holborn Trading at the end of 2024 as a member of the Biomethane desk, assisting in Biomethane certificate trading. Olly's focus in this area ranges from advising clients to meet their sustainability goals with renewable gas certificates, to assisting producers in the sale of their certificates.
